Home Information Packs
In August 2007 Home Information Packs became a legal requirement in England and Wales for property sales.
Key information within the packs include local property search information, water and drainage reports, evidence of title, an energy performance certificate and a draft purchase agreement. In addition, the HIP may contain several optional documents such as a Home Condition Report (HCR), fixtures and fittings, property information forms, warranties and guarantees and other searches and environmental reports. Phew! You can see how complex the production process is.
- Each HIP and each page in the HIP is unique
- Each pack is ‘married up' for distribution with an electronic copy on CD or USB memory stick and placed in the correctly addressed packaging
